Hamilton Conservation Foundation (HCF) is hosting its fourth and final event in the Nature Crawl series, a guided bus tour of the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark on Saturday October 19th. This free event is designed to educate and thank both Foundation and HCA friends, donors and supporters, while giving them an opportunity to see and experience the work of the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA). Registration is limited to 45 guests.
The bus tour will run from 9:30 am to 2:30pm, starting and finishing at the Dundas Beer Store Parking Lot, 55 Cootes Drive, across from Centennial Park and the Desjardins Canal in Dundas. The bus tour will be escorted by Joan Bell, Foundation Executive Director and features guest speakers, Joe Hollick, Hamilton Waterfalls; Tys Theysmeyer, Head of Conservation at Royal Botanical Gardens and guides from Dundurn Castle National Historic Site. Some walking is required. Please bring your own bagged lunch and dress comfortably for the weather.
There will also be trivia at Thirsty Cactus Cantina & Grill, an EcoPark supporter, after the guided bus tour for those that are interested. This tour is free only for Foundation supporters who register in advance.
Seating is limited so please register early by emailing nature.crawl@conservationhamilton.ca.
