Mike Davis Wins Conservation Halton Award

We are honoured and so happy that Mike Davis, hard-working co-publisher, accounts manager and principal photographer for Niagara Escarpment Views, has received a Conservation Halton Award “for being a Conservation Hero in the Media/Blogger Category.” His years of dedication and tireless efforts in bringing the most interesting and beautiful photography of this World Biosphere Reserve to people near and far has been recognized. [Note: Even on this award night, Mike was working! These photos are by him except where noted.]

He wasn’t the only person who has helped make the magazine so vital, to win this year. Sean James of Fern Ridge Landscaping,  our regular columnist on sustainable gardening, won in the Education – Individual category.

Ken Hall, who was featured as an Escarpment Visionary in our Winter 2013-14 issue, won a Citizen award.

Hayden Downes-Mills, whose work repairing and giving away used bikes was reported on in our Spring 2014 issue, won a Citizen-Youth award. We keep in good company with people who care about conservation!
