First Photo Contest

In honour of our upcoming 10^th anniversary issue, we are holding our first photo contest! Here are the important details.

Theme:
Your interpretation of a great Niagara Escarpment view. But show us something we haven’t seen before! Hint: see our back issue centre spreads for places we already know. Online, see them here.

Prizes Include
*Winning photos published in Winter 2017-18, our 10^th anniversary special issue!

*A week’s accommodation, date to be determined, at the 350-acre Alvar Bay Nature Reserve, Tobermory, in a new, solar-powered, off-grid cabin with kitchen, potable water, shower room with toilet. Located on three km of protected Lake Huron shore. Value: $800. Prize courtesy of Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy.

*Gift certificate for $100 from Home Hardware, good at any Home Hardware in Canada. Prize courtesy of Home Hardware.

Entry fee:
$20 to send up to 3 photos maximum. One entry per person. Everyone who enters gets a free one-year subscription to the magazine! Existing subscribers can enter for free. And most exciting, all entries will be displayed on our website!

If you’re not yet a subscriber and need to pay an entry fee, there are 3 ways to pay:

To submit photos, contact editor@NEViews.ca for details.
Be sure to include a maximum 25-word statement about each photo, giving the approximate location. And remember that if you have identifiable people in your photos, you need signed permission or a model release form.
