Downtown Hamilton celebrates the upcoming Downtown Localicious Festival on Sept. 18 with a lavish Launch Party at the Art Gallery of Hamilton from 6 – 9 pm. Tickets are $20 and this lets you sample a wide range of locally grown food prepared by downtown Hamilton chefs. In addition, there will be local music, wine, beer and a cooking demonstration by the Food Jammers, a HGTV cooking show featuring Micah Donovan, Chris Martin, and Nobu Adilman; three backyard mechanics who make homebrew cooking equipment using junkyard parts, found objects, and locally sourced ingredients. Cooking is essentially an excuse for them to build things.
The Downtown Localicious Experience Culinary Festival will take place from Friday, September 21st to Sunday, October 14th in a “delicious dozen restaurants” including: Acclamation, Bistro Parisien, Boo’s Bistro, Capri Italian Ristorante, Incognito Restaurant & Catering, It’s a Food Thing, La Piazza Allegra, My Thai Restaurant, Rapscallion Rogue Eatery, Tailgate Charlies All Star Café, Wass Ethiopian Restaurant, and Wild Orchid.
