A couple who have subscribed for a while, have done an amazing thing with their recent renewal: they added an extra financial contribution for the magazine. They did this out of concern due to the COVID-19 crisis and how our supportive advertisers have had to cut back their spending. This reminds me of another surprise gift a few years ago when we received a bequest for the magazine in someone’s will. We did not know the deceased at all.
Such kindness is amazing. We don’t even really know how to account for it in our bookkeeping. Even more than the monetary value of these gifts, the generosity is great encouragement and moral support for what we do. I don’t know how many businesses get this kind of a boost. Saying thank you seems inadequate, yet it is our sincere response. So thank you.
