Mike decided to get a jump on ad orders for our Autumn 2013 issue before people take off for summer vacations in July. As that’s the only month we have to place orders, we need to reach people early. So although summer is not even officially here yet, those who think ahead will want to get Autumn plans in order. Below is what we’re sending to our ad prospects. If you didn’t get this message but want to find out more, please contact us!
We keep hearing great things about Niagara Escarpment Views. As proof that people pay attention to back issues for a long time, we just got a message from someone about our Autumn 2011 issue. As well, we got a subscription order on a form from a 2008 issue. That’s two & five years ago! People keep our magazine longer than others. We also heard from a teacher who uses our issues as teaching aids. These are just two ways we stand out from all the other run-of-the-mill ad vehicles out there. Your ad in our magazine gets noticed by lots of people, for a long time.
You can be part of our Autumn 2013 issue. It will feature a family’s end-to-end Bruce Trail hike. We’ll also celebrate Laura Secord’s famous history-making night hike 200 years ago. We will explore the studios of a couple of Escarpment-area artists, as well as take you on a tour of Greig’s Caves near Lion’s Head. To help you plan your day trips and vacations along the Escarpment, we’re introducing a new column, Eating Along the Niagara Escarpment, a directory of places that welcome Escarpment explorers.
Some advertisers ask about the positioning of ads. It all depends on size. Ads that are 1/3 of a page and larger can go in the front sections. To be on a feature page, ads must be at least 1/8 of a page, but these spaces fill quickly. It’s first come, first served. If you have a particular place you’d like to have your ad, reserve your spot early and let us know your preference. We’ll do our best to accommodate you. We close our ad space on July 26. We need final artwork by Aug. 2. Reserve your space today!
