Views of the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow

By Chris Miller
The Canadian International Auto Show 2025 presented around 1,000 vehicles of all shapes, sizes and prices. The 370,000 square-foot space in the North, South buildings at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the floors in between were full of amazing displays of everything from classic cars to the very latest modern renditions. It was the largest consumer event in Canada.

The Automobile Journalist of Canada (AJAC) vehicles of the year were; Car, Honda Civic, the only one on the show!! Sports Utility vehicle, Hyundai Santa Fe. Electric Vehicles (EV) Car, BMW I4, welcome back the German luxury three including Mercedes and Audi as well as BMW and Sports Utility vehicle the Hyundai Ioniq 5N. For the second year the model Ionq 5 has won this prestigious position. The N is a race track proven version of the 5. There was a wonderful display from the famous Cobble Beach Classic cars which were a selection of Mercedes Benz.

If you are not aware that Vietnam produces a range of SUVs all EV’s, high quality. There were newcomers in the EV genre; Rivan, Polstar, Lucid and Ineos.

There were many amazing exotics from Autostrada magazine, Grand Touring performance and Motor Sport as well as others. Included in the incredible displays were; Bugatti Chiron, FerrariRoma Spider, a couple of Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Aston Martin, some high-performance Mercedes, BMWs, Audis as well as many more, too numerous to mention here but quite incredible. The cost of some of these vehicles were similar to luxury houses. No trade ins accepted!! Barrett Jackson auctioneers showed off some great classic cars.

Red Bull showed off some racing cars. Walmart had a store full of Hot Wheels and many accessories and kits of Hot Wheels.

You could test drive 50 different EVs on an indoor track. Jeep had its popular Camp Jeep where you could go in a Jeep EV on a crazy offroad track with bumps and turns to make your stomach turn but loads of fun.
