NEV Staff go on vacation

The principal staff of Niagara Escarpment Views got away in early March. We, Gloria and Mike, boarded our Sunwing flight on March 4 and headed to the Cayo Coco airport for seven days of relaxation. We went with a large group, nine in total! We settled in to the resort schedule, and got out by sail boat to snorkel a coral reef followed by a stop on a small deserted island. We also headed into the nearest town, Moron. There, we met up with our rescuer (Gisela ) from seven years ago, when we crashed a motor scooter. See our blogs from 2012 and 2018 for the full story.  It was a good adventure, a mix of hanging around the resort and heading out to explore. All round a good time.

Tito, the human-imprinted Kestrel was owned by a gardener at the resort. He happily hopped onto anyone’s shoulder.
A pet crab from another gardener, happily hanging around, although the Editor was not quite so happy!

  • Like the movie -” You got me at the Deserted Island!”

Did you and Mike sail yourselves to the deserted island? Sounds like a dream come true!

    Thanks for sharing

Yes, it was great. We rented the sailboats and had the local Cubans to sail us out there.

    Glad you liked the blog.
