Localicious Good for Farmers & Local Kids

Supporters of Localicious appreciate that participating restaurants source ingredients from local farmers. The Launch Party itself does good: proceeds from the party support a summer camp for disadvantaged kids in Hamilton.
Here are more photos of the Launch Party, taken by Mike Davis:

Joyce Swaby, owner of It's a Food Thing, dishes out Caribbean-inspired "yummies." Five vegetarian dishes are on the evening menu.
Who doesn't like Thai food? My Thai has locations in Burlington, Hamilton, Brantford, Ancaster and Waterloo.
The Farrugia family owns and cooks Italian food at La Piazza.
Finger foods rule at Wass, an Ethiopian restaurant. Wassie, above, is the owner.
Boo's Bistro had such delicious bruschetta that they ran out early.
Standing with the chefs of Incognito Restaurant & Catering is Kathy Drewitt of Downtown Hamilton BIA who organized the Localicious festival.

Here’s more information about Localicious, which runs until Oct. 14. We’ll post more pics soon! What’s your favourite kind of food?
