Celebrate Hamilton’s Local Food Menus

SONY DSC — Nickelbrook/Better Bitters Brewing Company offer locally brewed beers & soft drinks in a surprising range.

Localicious continues until Oct. 14 at Hamilton’s 12 participating restaurants. Our advertiser Nickebrook served up their wide range of beers at the Launch Party on Sept. 18. Here are more of Mike’s photos from the Launch.

SONY DSC — Ridge Road Estate Winery served up their selection of reds and whites. Our choice was their Baco Noir, a delicous grape that's a little out of fashion, unfortunately, as it's a big red with a fruity, velvet taste.

SONY DSC — Rapscallion Rogue Eatery served up meat and a delicous potato dish.

SONY DSC — Wild Orchid is known for serving the finest in Portuguese cuisine.

SONY DSC — Red Hill Coffee poured fresh fair-trade & organic coffee from single-serving filters.

SONY DSC — The fit young women of the green smoothie bar introduced people to four different flavours of green energy drinks. Delicious, filling and energizing!

Find all these establishments taking part in Localicious this year! Entertainment was provided by the popular Food Jammers: Micah Donovan, Chris Martin & Nobu Adilman who created fresh donuts in a range of flavours using their unusual, self-made culinary implements. The crowd surged forward for the sweet treats.

The food Jammers were the best show to ever appear on Food Network Canada – Now all that is left is tasteless junk programming.What a shame.
