Conservation Halton invites you to enjoy the spectacular landscapes and colours of fall during the annual Fall into Nature Festival. The events take place over two weekends starting this Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, and finishing on Thanksgiving weekend (October 10 to 12). Fall into Nature is happening at Conservation Halton’s seven main parks: Crawford Lake, Hilton Falls, Kelso, Mountsberg, Rattlesnake Point, Mount Nemo, and Robert Edmondson Conservation Areas.
Enjoy the fall colours
There are so many ways to enjoy the vibrant fall colours and cool, crisp air. Thanks to the Niagara Escarpment, there are many different vantage points in many of the Conservation Halton parks from which to enjoy the autumn foliage with spectacular lookouts.
Take a stroll along our trails and be surrounded by a canopy of reds, oranges, yellows and browns. You can take a wagon ride at Hilton Falls through the woods on October 3 and 4 and at Crawford Lake on Thanksgiving weekend (October 10 to 12). Wagon rides are $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children/seniors.
Fall into Nature event highlights
Fall into Nature activities take place each day (October 3, 4 and 10 to 12) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can enjoy a variety of unique outdoor experiences including:
*Climb the rock face of the Niagara Escarpment, at Rattlesnake Point each day, with certified instructors from Zen Climb from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can try it for $30 or $25/person for a group of four or more, participants must be nine years of age or older. Please note, if you want to rock climb, pre-booking is required, which can be done through the link on the Rattlesnake Point page on www.fallintonature.ca
*Hilton Falls will have live music on October 3 and 4 with The Vaudevillian
*Mountsberg has Escarpment Artists with various workshops related to Fall Leaves, with an open studio and open nature art table
*Mountsberg will also be running Wagon Rides to meet the Bison, the rides are $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children/seniors
*At Crawford Lake, you can enjoy First Nations Presentations with Chief Topleaf October 10 to 12
*Kelso will be running Chairlift Rides from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of Fall into Nature to give you spectacular views of the fall colours.

Halton Forest Festival on October 4
The Halton Forest Festival Public Day is at Rattlesnake Point on Sunday, October 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival highlights the importance of trees and forests in our region. Activities include:
Children’s Tree Climb on Sunday, October 4, hosted by Maple Hill Tree Services,
Build your own bird house,
Try your hand at archery with our Ways of the Woods Staff,
Test your lumberjack, speed, strength and teamwork with the Cross Saw Demonstration,
Become a citizen scientist with Ontario Nature to track Ontario’s native reptile and amphibian species with their new App
Or take an informative hike through the amazing forest at Rattlesnake Point and learn a little about what makes it so important and special.

Halton Parks offer plenty for you to do
Conservation Halton’s parks have more than 100 km of trails and offer some incredible views along the Niagara Escarpment to enjoy the fall colours. There is an abundance of natural areas with beautiful forests, rolling hills, and the Niagara Escarpment to showcase the fall colours. During Fall into Nature visitors will also be able to enjoy the regular activities and programs available at Conservation Halton parks. Be sure to check out the amazing Birds of Prey demonstrations at Mountsberg or travel back in time to the Iroquoian Village at Crawford Lake.
For Fall into Nature regular park admission applies, which provides full day entry to all seven parks, and Halton Parks members only need to show their pass for admission.
